The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms suffused the entire venue . Emitting a scent of a mixture of ammonia , old age and illness . The counter , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The lavatory was in even more deplorable shape — spilling over , with a cracked flush mechanism and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .
